Seems like a bit of a depressing commentary on the presidency. "no one cares what he does after 2014" Reallly? He is still president of the united states. Also makes you see how little he can accomplish even if EVERYTHING goes right.
ReplyDeleteIt is remarkably depressing. The fact that we have elections every 2 years and that means we invariably will have legislative stalemate is a pretty serious indict of our political system.
ReplyDeleteThe interesting thing is the 2 STAUNCH republicans I know seem to think this ok. "We have the "best" democracy in the world." is the standard answer. They seem not to be swayed by a reminder that hubris and ignoring problems with "well we're the best still" is how both companies and countries collapse.
